Jory Simpson, MD, MEd, FRCSC

Dr. Jory Simpson MD, MEd, FRCSC obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from McGill University and then completed medical school at the University of British Columbia in 2006. He subsequently went on to complete his General Surgery residency training at the University of Toronto. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2011. Dr. Simpson completed a Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation funded clinical fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology. His academic and research interest is Surgical Education and Surgical Oncology. Dr. Simpson obtained his Masters degree in Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education with a focus on Adult Education and Community Development. He is currently the Division Head of General Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Director of the MD Program for the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto. His clinical practice is focused on providing care to patients with both benign and malignant breast diseases.
