Job Description

We are seeking an experienced full time, highly motivated Learning & Development Manager. Reporting directly to the Sr Manager, HR, the L&D Manager will be responsible for ensuring that employees feel engage, skilled and motivated to work towards the company’s business goals. The role supports the fundamental aspects of the HR lifecycle, enabling employees to experience an emotionally rewarding and professionally satisfying career through targeted HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

The Learning & Development Manager anticipates the required human capital needs of the organization and creates plans to meet them. The incumbent ensures that VieCure can attract, select, retain, and develop the best people and provide clear career paths & development support to our employees. The Learning & Development Manager owns the Careers page on our external website, Onboarding, Talent Review and Succession planning, Leadership Development, Career Ladders & the Annual Performance Review. The role holder builds programs for high potential & high performing employees, driving and embedding these initiatives across the business for us to deliver against our strategic aim to “Be the best workplace”. Partnering at all levels of the organization and across the HR function, the role holder assists the functional leaders to deliver their people goals.

  • Leads content development on the Careers page, working with HR and communications so that all content clearly signal what candidates can expect, gain and learn from working at Viecure.

  • Works with the HR team to leverage social media and digital marketing to engage with talent communities across our geographies.

  • Owns the LMS, managing the instructor led courses in line with a frequently updated TNA, curates’ content that aligns with the competency/ career ladder model, promotes the usage of the system to build an effective comms plan.

  • Owns the organizational competency model and partners with HR & the business to develop a Career Ladder Framework.

  • Owns and deploys the annual Talent Review, launching the succession planning process on an annual basis and coordinating updates and changes to the process with leadership team. Works with HR to ensure that they are planned for and executed in line with the annual HR calendar.

  • Ensures that a global talent map is created, maintained, and reviewed with the leadership team on a regular basis.

  • Maintains the succession plans for senior leaders and critical roles in partnership with the VP, HR.

  • Own the Learning and development strategy and activities for soft skills/ leadership development, designing, recommending, and implementing a blended learning approach that captures the skills we need now and for the future.

  • Manage the vendor relationships, budget, and implementation of all core L&D programs.

  • Own the HR onboarding process, working with HR to create a fully inclusive, relevant, and up to date program that ensures all employees are welcomed to the company and well versed in VieCure’s standards and practices.

  • Own the Performance Review Process, and ensures that in collaboration with the HR, that the annual process is delivered in line with the HR calendar.

  • Contribute to the creation of key metrics, highlighting trends and collaborating with HR to develop action plans.

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to the functional leaders and people managers.

  • Lead various department and HR initiatives and projects alongside business-as-usual operational requirements with timely delivery of all agreed objectives.

Skills, Competencies & Experience

Our successful candidate will have solid hands-on experience and possess the following attributes and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in organizational development, human resources, communications, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experiencing developing and implementing training programs, preferably for a company within healthcare.

  • Med-tech experience preferred.

  • Working experience with LMS systems with operational experience of working directly in a digital learning environment.

  • Prior experience using SAP Litmos preferred.

  • Experience of supporting Senior Leaders and their Leadership teams from a training perspective.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully establish and manage (hands-on) an overall HR function within a fast-growth entrepreneurial environment.

  • Able to work at a strategic and operational level, seamlessly switching between the two depending on the training needs.

  • Commercial and results focused, with the ability to quickly get up to speed with business strategies and understand how training need to align with them.

  • Possess subject matter expertise in instructional design and organizational development.

  • Ability to positively challenge and influence managers within the business and partner them in delivering business results.

  • High degrees of initiative, self-motivation and personal integrity, with a proven ability to deal professionally and effectively with confidential and sensitive information.

  • Strong organization, planning and project management skills; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Able to work in an environment of change and ambiguity at times

  • Professional and engaging manner. Empathy yet resilient under assertive challenge.

  • A collaborative communicator who excels at fostering strong relationships. Outstanding communication (written, oral, presentation) skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external audiences, at varying levels of complexity and detail.

 

We are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and have a complement of remote staff who live in proximity to client sites. We require a candidate based in, or willing to relocate to Denver. The salary range for this role is $95,000-$130,000 per annum. The exact salary offered will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.
