Senior Product Designer

We are seeking an experienced full time, highly motivated Senior Product Designer. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Management and User Experience, the Senior Product Designer is an influential contributor in improving workflows and overall user experience for hundreds and thousands of medical oncology staff and consumers.
The role holder is responsible for the entire product creation process and plays an important role during all stages of product development. They are ultimately responsible for discovering and defining a problem, and then empathically designing a solution. The Senior Product Designer will take part in user research, prototyping, visualization, testing, analyzing, and communicating with product design team members, product managers, product owners, stakeholders, and software engineers.
Location: Denver, CO or Columbus, OH
Engage in and actively take the primary lead in complex product definition discussions with product managers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify clear, concise, and comprehensive goals.
Networks and partners with cross-functional team members to in-depth explore and evaluate UI / UX challenges and efficiently develop and lead effective workable solutions to completion.
Gather and evaluate user requirements, client experiences, and insights through conducting user research, user discovery, concept validation, and usability testing.
Document processes including user research, risks, workflows, design specs, and intended functionality.
Prepare and present proposals to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
Work in conjunction with marketing to adhere to brand and market initiatives.
Work with team members in developing and evolving the visual language and design system for VieCure’s products and platforms while incorporating VieCure’s brand and voice.
Translate research findings and recommendations into evidence-based wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
Overall manage and be responsible for reusable, scalable visual design assets that are consumable by developers and engineers.
Lead product design hand-off to development.
Troubleshoot new design solutions through different testing methodologies.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with client feedback, questions, and requests.
Support less experienced Product Designers, enabling them to improve and grow their knowledge and professional capabilities.
Share senior product design expertise with colleagues, furthering the collective knowledge of the topic.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Product Design, User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Web Design or related field is required.
Must have a strong digital portfolio.
8+ years experience designing for web and mobile interface products.
Demonstrate senior level experience of design thinking methodologies in practice, using empathy and critical thinking to understand and frame your problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead a user-centered, exploratory approach to solving design problems.
Comfortable working with and adhering to design systems and/or pattern libraries.
Advanced research skills, leading well-framed user research and testing: planning, recruiting, leading, analyzing results, making design recommendations, and communicating findings and recommendations.
Senior level experience working in an agile development process.
Prior healthcare or oncology experience is required.
Advanced and in-depth Senior Level Product Design expertise and the ability to apply the expertise appropriately and creatively for high quality results.
Excellent visual design skills.
Well informed of the latest design trends, techniques, and technology.
Expertly proficient using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, LucidChart/Visio, Adobe XD, Figma, or other similar design tools.
Strong experience of using JIRA/Atlassian suite, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office 365.
Ability to work independently with very minimal guidance.
Willingness to give and take constructive feedback regularly.

Clearly and concisely communicate ideas, perspectives, research, design problems and solutions in a diplomatic and persuasive manner.

We are headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and have a complement of remote staff who live in proximity to client sites. For this role, we require a candidate based in, or willing to relocate to Denver, CO or Columbus, OH. We support hybrid working (2 days at home / 3 days on site). There may be some occasional travel involved in this role.
The salary range for this role is $140,000-$155,000 per annum. The exact salary offered will be based on the candidate’s location, knowledge, skills and experience.
