Job Description

We are actively seeking a full time, highly motivated strategic Senior Software Engineer & Team Lead who will play an integral role in the company’s success. Acting as interface between our clients and a variety of professionals throughout VieCure, the role holder will take ownership of the overall delivery of the product, supporting our teams on the ground to implement our AI technology and physicians and healthcare workers who are at the front end of cancer care delivery.

Location: Denver, CO or Columbus, OH or Remote (with travel)


Reporting directly to the VP, Software Engineering, the Senior Software Engineer & Team Lead will be a critical member of our engineering team working on AI and database driven new cloud-based technologies. This isn’t an average position where you might be restricted to working on one small piece of the company’s technology: we’re an entrepreneurial, nimble, and dynamic organization, where you’ll have influence over our whole development cycle, from design to production. No one day is the same, so if you enjoy a variety of tasks, can prioritize effectively, and are comfortable working in a client/internal team dynamic then this role offers you the opportunity to use your full skill set in a meaningful way. This job has the following deliverables:

  • Participating in the development process starting with definition, and continuing through design, build, test, release, and maintenance

  • Understanding end-user requirements, then translating those into pragmatic and effective technical solutions

  • Participating in joint design and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative and original ideas to our technology, algorithms and associated products

  • Designing and developing both simple workflow and complex logic applications that effectively interact to provide a streamlined and friendly user experience

  • Ensuring quality throughout the process through unit tests, automation, and code reviews

  • Successfully delivering on-time solutions to challenging problems

  • Mentoring and managing engineering resources

Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • Experience working with healthcare IT projects is required

  • A bachelor's or post-graduate degree in a software-related field

  • 5-10 years hands-on experience in software design and coding

  • Current hands-on experience in software design and coding

  • Solid understanding of software platform architecture

  • Experience working with C#, Visual Studio/, Angular, Web APIs, MS SQL Server, MS Azure

  • A track record of completing projects on time and to quality standards

  • A "learn-it-all" mindset, where no task is too daunting and new technologies bring exciting new challenges

  • Strong attention to detail and a quality mindset.

  • A collaborative communicator who excels at fostering strong relationships. Outstanding communication (written, oral, presentation) skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external audiences, at varying levels of complexity and detail.

  • Resilient, able to work under pressure, remaining professional and calm.

  • Able to work in an environment of change and ambiguity at times

  • Strong organization, planning and project management skills; able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

We are headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and have a complement of remote staff who live in proximity to client sites. For this role, we prefer a candidate based in, or willing to relocate to Denver, CO or Columbus, OH. We support hybrid working (2 days at home / 3 days on site). However, we are also open to applications from candidates who are based remotely although a willingness to travel regularly (+25%) to our headquarters) would be required.
