Job Description

We are seeking an experienced full time, highly motivated DevOps engineer to join our team. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting all VieCure development, test and production environments, hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Working closely with software architects and team leads, they will assess needs, make recommendations, put appropriate infrastructure in place, and manage the environments on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Software Engineering, our DevOps Engineer has the following responsibilities:


  • Managing existing Azure hybrid and cloud solutions

  • Building, configuring, and maintaining automated CI-CD pipelines

  • Maintaining and monitoring development, production and customer environments

  • Ensuring appropriate security measures are implemented and maintained

  • Sourcing, configuring, and implementing automated testing solutions, integrated into the CI-CD pipeline

  • Communicating and problem-solving daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders

Skills, Competencies & Experience

Our successful candidate will have solid hands-on experience and possess the following attributes and skills:


  • Related BSc / BA in Business IT, Business Systems Engineering, IT, Information system, or any relevant degree Professional software engineering designation preferred.

  • Proven practical, hands-on experience in a DevOps / Engineering role

  • Solid experience within a fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Good understanding of networking, DNS, domain name management

  • Azure DevOps Classic and Yaml pipelines

  • Azure Cloud: SQL, Redis, App Services, Kubernetes, Blob Storage, Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, DNS, Site-to-Site and Point-to-Site VPN

  • Active Directory Management

  • Office 365: Exchange, SharePoint, Stream

  • Basic development experience in C#

  • Innovative mindset and a drive to continuously improve and proactively problem-solve

  • Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels

  • Collaborative approach and a real team player

  • Comfortable with an environment of change and ambiguity

  • Resilient, able to work under pressure, remaining professional and calm.


Some off-hours work and occasional travel may be required.


We are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and have a complement of remote staff who live in proximity to client sites. We require a candidate based in, or willing to relocate to, Denver. The salary range for this role is $105,000-$170,000 per annum. The exact salary offered will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.
